Vasaris, the Fuzzy Dragon [userpic]
Dear Virgin Radio:

It's been, what, 2 weeks? 3? (I have the sinking feeling it's only been a week, but it feels like two hours short of eternity).

Let me tell you something: Your promotion of "Be the 95th caller when we play Katie Perry's California Girls in its entirety and win $50,000!" has forced me to turn ofF the radio more than once.

The parodies? Stop being funny after the 30th time. You play them -- in full or partial versions -- at least 5 times an hour.

The "OMG LISTEN FOR THE WHOLE SONG!" with Katie Perry (or, heavens help me, the sound-alike artist) fading in and out through the patter? Were old by the 3rd or 4th time.

The, goddess forfend, random partial versions? Irritating from the get-go.

Please play the song and have done. Seriously. I didn't think *anything* could make me as sick of the song as the grotesque overplay it received in August. I am disappointed to find I was so, so wrong.

Although, I have to admit, the random callers who are just calling in on the off chance you've gotten around to playing it are pretty funny. Although the girl you strung along and said she was the 94th caller? That was really mean. Admittedly funny in the "I can't believe she's falling for it" kind of way, but still mean.

(Also, no, I can't be bothered to find out how the artist actually spells her name -- it could be Quati Pteirrie for all I know. I just know how it sounds on the radio.)
