What a pretty coloring!

And such a FAT cat!

Yes. We're going to work on that, Bella and I. According to the people at the shelter, it happens sometimes in declawed cats because they can't properly work their upper bodies without the grip given by their claws. Scratching, it seems, can be an essential part of exercise. *sighs* Still, I managed to get her to play vigorously for a couple of minutes tonight and will work on it in the hopes of getting longer and more vigorous play out of her.

*hugs teh_Bella*

Considering the attention spans of cats, you're probably better off to stick with short, vigorous play periods and just see if you can do it more often.

Calicos are SO pretty.

*grins* True. But I'm rather hoping for maybe three minutes at a time instead of 1.5. Bella was pretty funny, she'd play and fight with the feather for about a minute or so and then stalk off in a huff. I've got to see if I can't get a picture of her testy face -- she purrs like mad almost constantly, but keeps giving me this sort of superior 'I am put out with you' look, completely at odds with the sound of content-kitty.

Then again, I keep having to tell her I'm not going to chase her around the house to pet her, as she'll come up for a scritch and then wander off by about a foot and look at me as if to say, "Well?"

*giggles*

KITTY!
